"Dino Mite" Book Fair

Save the Date!

Cumberland’s Scholastic Book Fair will be open Friday, March 1st through the following week March 4th - 7th, 2019; we are looking forward to seeing you there! Your child will be visiting our Book Fair with his/her class prior to March 1st. Students will have the opportunity to complete a “wish list” at that time.

Volunteer to help!

Mark your calendars!
Grand Opening
Friday, March 1st: 12:45PM-2:30PM

Special Extended Hours
Tuesday, March 5th: 8:00AM-8:00PM

All Other Days
Monday, March 4th - Thursday, March 7th: 8:00AM-3:30PM

Family "Prehistoric" Night
Thursday, March 7th: 6:00PM-8:00PM

During the Book Fair, we also encourage you to help build our classroom libraries by purchasing books and donating them to your child’s class through the Classroom Wish List program. This year Cumberland will again be participating in the “All for Books” program sponsored by Scholastic. This is a great way to give back. For every dollar donated, Scholastic will donate a book to children in need. On top of that Cumberland will be able to donate books directly to 10 Books A Home, an early childhood education nonprofit located in East Palo Alto. Thank you for partnering with us in our annual library fundraiser. Reading is the most important skill you can teach a child. Of all the skills children learn, it is the one you can influence the most.

Family Fun Nights

Family Fun Nights (FFN) are about fun for the entire family while being introduced to new families and catching-up with old friends. Check the School Calendar for exact dates & details.

We realize it's sometimes hard to meet new families at school and so our program is designed to make those connections easier while having a fun experience.

The best way to meet new families is to consider volunteering to lead any one of our planned themed nights. In fact, join with 1 or more families to lead (we'll even help you find one) and you'll find yourself among many friends quickly!  To volunteer, please contact the Family Fun Night Chairs:

Previous FFN's have included:

  • Sweetheart Family Luau
  • Holiday Craft & Charity
  • Favorite Board Game Night
  • Mad Science
  • Bingo
  • The Amazing Cumberland Race
  • Have a Ball Night (Outdoor Soccer & Volleyball)
  • Movie Night
  • ....and more!

All kids must have a parent/guardian with them to attend.
