Cumberland's 2017 Walkathon

The 41st annual Walkathon (WAT) took place Friday, October 20, 2017.  It is our PTA's only major fundraiser of the year.  There are so many ways to participate!

    1. Pledges for Walking - ask family and friends to help support through online pledges. White donation envelopes that came with the main information packet will help keep track of your pledges. Click on Pledge Now!
    2. T-Shirt Sales - show your walkathon pride! T-shirts often become the distinguishing shirt worn on class field trips to help identify and locate Cumberland students quickly. Almost all students and many parents purchase walkathon shirts so we all look out-of-this-world while we walk!
    3. Silent Auction - lots of classroom parties, parent parties, products and services can be won. Items are donated by parents, teachers and local businesses (if you have a special relationship with a local business, let us know!) Donate auction items here!
    4. Sponsorship - we thank sponsors with their logo on the back of Walkathon T-shirts and in the auction catalog. Parents can also sponsor their own personal family messages of encouragement in the auction catalog.
    5. Food Booths - food trucks and pizza. Fun Foods with classic Cotton Candy, Popcorn, and Hot Dogs; and Bake Sale with the bake-off tradition
    6. Boutique - handmade, one-of-a-kind items by parents & students for sale

With about $300 spent on every student for enrichment and after-school programs, PE programs, art & music programs, field trips, assemblies, technology purchases, special evening events, teacher & classroom grants, and much, much more... the Cumberland PTA helps ensure our students get the most from their elementary school experience.
