Welcome to the Cumberland Band Program.
The Cumberland Band, directed by Mr. Andy Morales is open to all 4th and 5th graders. Our Band Program consists of music theory lessons, notation, and memorization of at least 3 different Major Scales and instruction for seven different instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Alto Saxophone, percussion (drums and glockenspiel) . The band performs twice during the school year in the Winter and Spring Concerts. Weekly band practice starts in mid September and goes through the end of the school year. The band meets every Tuesday, The beginner band meets at 2:45 pm and the Intermediate band meets at 3:35pm. There is a band tuition fee of $275 per year and a separate instrument rental fee. We strive to make the band available for everyone, for scholarships information please email the band chairs.
